Not watched it yet - if grim as in dark, how bad was it Jonny?

Creepy paedo Dad. All I need to say really.

It was fucking horrible, wasn't it. There was a lot less of the light relief in last night's episode too.

SPOILER:

I think the scene in which the scummy dad pays his daughter a visit was almost as disturbing as his scene later in the programme. Being that the Lol character is supposed to be Combo's (Stephen Graham) ex, I have a feeling that he's going to let loose a flurry of rage on that cunt in next week's espisode.

Very grim indeed.  Still not enjoying the series as much as I thought I would though.  Vicky McLure has been outstanding.

I dunno.. the ruck in the middle brought back fun memories for me that I'd long forgotten.

Good times...

So you had rubbish cack handed fights at your school too then? The fights at ours were 5% connecting punches with 95% flailing arms and missed kicks.

I was thinking more of the out of school stuff which was a bit more heavy handed. And often involved people that were old enough to know better.

But going back to school times... have I ever mentioned the time that I made Catherine Zeta Jones cry?

It's not as exciting as it sounds... Although I once told a friend's girlfriend that it was because I was 'too big' and she responded with 'really??'

It was during a school exam and someone fucked me off. I hoofed a pencil case across the room at them, missed, and it hit her on the head. Collateral damage. The odds on her actually being in school at the time were infinitesimal; she was always in some west end show but I do have school group pictures that we're both in. I wonder how much I could get for them on EBay?

I thought there was a lot personally - which made waiting for the end worse, because I knew it was coming.

SPOILER

And I never thought I'd actually be glad to see Combo, I was cheering at the TV  :-\

You should stick to the first version of events, that made me roar!  :-\

So, she "was always in some west end show" - bet she was shagging old codgers for a part back then too.

Someone I used to work with years ago also worked in a Boots that was CZJ local when she was shacked up with everyone's favourite rapist, John Leslie. They dropped off a film for developing and the guys in the shop spotted a whole bunch of dirty stuff, reprinted it and then stuck it all over the walls of their staff room.  :-\

Sian - you're right there were some funny bits but I think I was still a little side-swiped by the nastiness at the end. The scene in which the dad pays Lol a visit and Milky was proven to be an ineffectual lump, was also quite hard to endure too.

Anyone spot Ian Brown as a copper during the fight scene?

So the four part series drew to a close last night. Astounding television. Last night's episode was rough and extremely uncomfortable viewing at times but the humanity of some of the characters really shone through.
