Here’s my tuppence worth:

It looks nicely shot judging by what’s seen in the trailer.  :'(
It can’t be any worse than the remake with Nic Cage.  :-\

I've got a really bad feeling about this... just think they should leave it alone. It will always be compared to The Wicker Man and fall short so better to do something original and unrelated, IMHO.

Doesn't really give much away, does it?

I agree with Ben,even if this was an okish film its just going to appear limp in comparison to the original, but also anything has to be better than the remake :)

I'm glad to see this is finally getting released, and look forward to watching it before I make any judgment. I'd certainly rather see mr Hardy making films in 2010 than any of the shite that passes for horror these days.

If Jonny is able to cast his mind back to the early 1990's, he may recall a conversation we both had with Robin Hardy at a film festival, where he offered us both parts as extras in this. Whisky was involved, so the memory is a hazy one.

I never got the call-to-arms, so I hope this film dies on it's ass !  :-\

I seem to recall he was drinking gin and tonics, I bet he can't remember much either...

It's impossible to judge from seeing the trailer alone but the way that it's cut, subliminal shots aside, it looks pretty conventional. Still, this could just be the way they're trying to sell it to a larger audience.

The Wicker Tree will be shown at this years FrightFest, on the Saturday Night with Robin Hardy In
attendance as Special Guest. I don't know if he's doing an Introduction or Q&A or anything, it didn't
mention The particulars on the FrightFest Email update.

I finally caught up with this last night...

Lots of talent behind the camera - but sadly none in front of it.

I'm actually really looking forward to seeing it, just because of the bad reviews it's had.
