Almost resembles a Bruno Mattei film.
This film makes Mattei's work look like Leone's :-\
So true! ::)

Totally agree with Andrew, this isn't boring, not at all. Fast-moving, cheesy, over the top, gory fun. Almost resembles a Bruno Mattei film. I already have it on DVD but will be buying the Grindhouse release as I can't resist a definitive version of PIECES.

This scene alone is worth the double-dip as far as I am concerned.
Classic  ::)

I also think PIECES is a true laugh riot in the best sense imaginable. That clip above just made me want to watch it again.  ::)

Hahaha! That scene is so great. It's probably the best unintentionally funny freak-out scene ever. The only thing I can think of that rivals it is that scene in BURIAL GROUND where Mariangela Giordano attacks and bashes in the brains of the zombie woman that killed her beloved freak of a son while hysterically shouting "Damn you, Leslie! Daaamn you! DAAAAAAMN YOOOOU!"

Linda probably meant that towards the filmmakers, too, as she said she was told the movie was a mystery thriller. She had turned down the chance to star alongside her husband in the Fulci movie and would have done the same here if she'd known it was a gore movie.

This one's coming next year from Arrow or one of the other 'Cult Labs' labels.

Not my fave of faves but it is amusing enough.  Mostly I need to get the puzzle  ;D...and to hear what a dick Waddell will come off like on the commentary with poor Jack Taylor.
Love to beat Diabolik's price by a few dollars too if I can.

Oh Christ, not another release contaminated by him. Not that I'd be buying this one anyway, don't particularly like the film.

Waddell's 42nd street documentary is on this release, it's a Calum-fest!.
Amusingly the promo text omits all references to him.
