Does anybody know if this one was shot widescreen or fullscreen? It was supposedly shot in 1:85:1 according to imdb's technical specs but UK and German discs are both 4:3 fullscreen. I just received the German one and will watch the film again after many years, I remember it having a great score by Claudio Simonetti.

I no longer have my Dutch tape but I don't think it looked cropped.  It was probably shot open-matte.  Its got one of Claudio Simonetti's better eighties scores and is a pretty fun slasher.  Nothing special but better made than its American counterparts (plus you've got Mimsy Farmer, David Hess, Ivan Rassimov, and John Steiner).

Nice little film but the great cast isn't exactly used to its fullest potential. The only version I've seen is the old German DVD from EMS, which looks ok, I guess. Wouldn't mind an upgrade, though.

I dig Simonetti's score too. Some of the music pops up again in Lenzi's THE HOUSE OF LOST SOULS (1989).

I think there's also an Australian DVD.

I recently watched the German DVD and I'd say it's open matte. I zoomed it in on my 16:9 TV and the framing looked great.

Fun flick with a great, if somewhat underused, cast.

Just started watching the German dvd and it looks open matte.
Did anyone else note 2 or more "glitches" in the picture btw?
They look a bit like it's from a mastertape.
Starting to think I have a bad disc...

It looks brighter than the Dutch vhs (fortunately) but still a lot of detail is obscured by it being too dark.

Also I was wondering if more footage could exist of the murders (which look suspiciously tame at times and then again more graphic at other times)?

I think the scene with the police car (RED police lights on!) in the woods is pure genius, also noticed more subtle placing of red objects...  :D

Has anyone seen the new Italian DVD of this, and if so, how's the quality? I have a bootleg, and it looks cut; would like to find an uncut copy of this one. Thanks!

From what I've read the new Italian DVD looks about the same as the old German DVD, so if you have that one there's not much point in upgrading.

The rights for this one seem to have vanished since the sales company went bust.
