Couldn't find much on the site about this one. I was curious to know what you guys thought about this one in general?.
I have a very nice looking print of 'Una Vita Lunga Un Giorno' but sadly it's in German only, so I've never been able to fully suss out the story is about. My understanding is that Mino Reitano is a down on his luck sailor who meets Ewa Aulin and swiftly falls in love with her (and let's face it, who wouldn't!?). She needs treatment for an illness and so to pay for it Mino goes to Philippe Leroy, a rich playboy millionaire, to strike up some sort of deal (the exact details of which I was unable to decipher). Things turn a bit sour and Leroy, with the help of Euro crime regular Luciano Catenacci and his henchmen in disguise, begin to hunt down Andrea (Mino Reitano) for reasons slightly unknown to me. There's quite a nice feeling of paranoia in the second half of the film where Andrea is having to be cautious of all manner of people in case they turn out to be connected to Leroy - cable car guides, taxi drivers, randy women in limo's - who all appear to pose a possible threat to him. This was probably the films strongest point. However, the action, when it eventually comes, is a little clunky and slightly unsatisfying. What the film does have going for it is a solid cast, outstanding score, the aforementioned scenes drenched in paranoia and an ample amount of nudity from Ewa Aulin, Eva Czemerys and various other scantily clad women at Leroy's swinging parties/orgies!.
