There was a UK release of the film on 23rd Century which also released HIGH CRIME and the great M.M. Tarantini jungle actioner THE HARD WAY. Somebody had posted screenshots at DVD maniacs and the quality looked shitty, sourced from fullscreen VHS.

The best version is certainly the Japanese VHS which is widescreen and looks very nice- just don't expect it to go for less that $25.

To my knowledge this is a dupe outfit as well. HANDS OF STEEL has so far, only been released legitimetly on VHS here. Nearly rented it a dozen times but never did.

I thought as much... Can find any info as regards any Japanese DVD releases though, are you sure your copy isn't taken off a widescreen VHS Dorado?
I'm sure the print has been digitally re-mastered, because the quality is flawless.

Can you post screen shots Dorado? Here is the cover of the 23rd Century release. These go for very cheap but I am afraid they aren't easy to find. And don't look that great anyway.

I cannot find a legit version of this on the net. It's on one of those multiple movie packs and on a couple of OOP label for around $5. I am referring to HANDS OF STEEL.

Those 23rd Century DVD's are usually only £1, I'd pay that just for the cover! There's a few pawn shops in town that usually have 23rd Century DVD's in, I'll have a hunt around for it next time I out and about.

Here's a link to 2 different Brentwood releases...before they became "legit" as BCI.

I got my scanner working, I tried to upload a scan of the cover from Hands of steel before but the picture was to heavy so it failed. Instead I’m trying to e-mail it to you at the moment Lefteris.

The Brentwood version of “Hands of steel” is utter crap, it so bad that its hardly worth watching.

Johny, also make sure to get their release of THE HARD way by M.M. Tarantini! Starring Miles O'Keeffe and Henry Silva. Trust me on this one!

Here's another link. This is the third different online DVD company that has no image for the cover...

I got it yesterday would you believe! A friend came round to visit and gave me a copy he bought for me, he said he saw it in a shop and thought it'd be right up my street.  :'(

Henry Silva has great lines in it such as "kill them!", "drop the grenade!", "I love killing people- it gives me great pleasure!"

Its a solid commando movie and one of O'Keefe's best- he is one of my heroes!

I know you saw his ATOR movies, yes? The MST3K version of BLADE MASTER is a riot!

No I haven't because I am not into that genre but I will certainly give them a try sometime! I am surprised O'Keeffe never starred in a film like the ones this thread is about by the way- he would have been perfect.

You probably already know about them then but the first two are hilarious while the third tries to be polished and nearly succeeds.
