just bought it, don't know how much postage is gonna be though, have to wait for invoice, even though it's in Italian if it is as good as the crime one it will be a handy reference book, and there's only 1000 of them.

If the seller is indeed Bloodbuster the P&P should be around 12 euros.

Too bad about the lack of English text though. I am sure they would be able to sell hundreds more if there was English as well as Italian. I will think twice before buying it although it covers some of my favorites.

I like all italian Cyborg-films except HANDS OF STEEL, which I found to be pretty dull. TOP LINE is my big favorite, despite -or maybe because- of it being a mish-mash of ideas and influences from all kind of directions being mixed together without rhyme or reason. Highly enjoyable that one, like all movies in which Franco Nero plays a drunk. Speaking of nothing, I watched CY WARRIOR with my girlfriend a while ago (bad film- good cheeze, with the ugliest and most annoying kid actor in film history) and something like 20 minutes into the film we started noticing the word "goddamned" being used a lot. We started counting and found out the word was used like 30 times throughout the movie - this movie must have very inspired writers/dubbers! Should make a goddamned great drinking game if you want to get really goddamned drunk fast!

Watched 'Hands of Steel' tonight...

"Paco, I have feelings for you"

Janet Agren looks all frumpy in this, wearing baggy shirts to hide her big ass. Stupid film, but fun. Love the big laser gun and John Saxon. I really liked Claudio Cassinelli's oddly dubbed German sounding voice!  :-X

I thought this one was brilliant, its my favorite Martino film. Janet Agren- I thought she didn't look too bad in it, perhaps not as good as in the 70s but still gorgeous. She still looks good by the way. I also love the score: that synth theme that is heard in the scene where Daniel Greene is introduced is the essence of the movie as far as I am concerned, pure 80s fun! Cassinelli was great in it, too bad he was killed during the shooting. Martino was complaining in an interview about some newspapers writing "it was a shame that Cassinelli died for this piece of trash" or something like that- I would have been proud to die like that!  ;) not as young though :(

I love HANDS OF STEEL and am a little surprised that so many seem to brush it off as bad. Sure enough, it had a low budget but I think it's immensely enjoyable, engaging and fun. I'm not the biggest action movie fan because I've suffered through so many bad and impossible to like Hollywood actioners. I don't have very big demands for action films - the only two things that I absolutely need in order to enjoy an action film is a hero that I actually like and a bad guy that I hate. Unfortunately, most American action movies aren't able to provide that. Instead we get some boring, unlikable asshole hero who I just want to die. It's never a good thing when you find yourself rooting for the bad guys we're supposed to hate but that's what I frequently do. Not in this one, though. HANDS OF STEEL got it right. I also think it has a good story, I like Daniel Greene and the rest of the actors, I love the Simonetti score, the actions scenes and the arm wrestling sequences.

Janet Agren looking frumpy...? well, I guess she has looked hotter than she does here but I think she was supposed to look like this. I mean, she's a tough gal who's used to living alone and taking care of herself, and there aren't many interesting men for her to dress all fancy for. I think Daniel Greene falls for her because she's a genuinely nice person who gives him a chance and shows him the kind of respect he isn't used to getting. I think the relationship between them was very convincing, and the fact that I cared about both their characters made the film all the better. Oh, and there is one scene where Janet wears a dress and lets her hair out  :P

As for Martino considering HANDS OF STEEL to be a trash film... well, the guy has made lots of films that had bigger budgets and bigger stars, and that made more money, so this was probably a minor film for him. Besides, Claudio Cassinelli had made lots of films together with Martino so they were probably good friends. The fact that Cassinelli died during filming and that Martino had to continue filming without him probably made the rest of the shoot a very bitter experience that he doesn't remember too fondly. To be honest, I don't blame him. I'm sure I would feel the same way if it was my good friend who had died. But the film still turned out great.

Ok, sorry for the long rant but we have to stick up for our favorite films. I'm sure Lefteris agrees me  :-\
