Sounds well worth a look if David Flint's review is anything to go by...

This does sound like it should be good. I really would love the Hammer rebirth to succeed. Despite being disappointed with 'Let Me In', i was kind of schoolboy-ishly excited seeing the Hammer logo appear on the big screen.

Getting a Blu-ray release from Dark Sky in June so I'll probably be holding out for that now. Momentum really don't seem to be supporting the format too well.

I finished up a DVDBeaver review of the Momentum disc over the weekend.  I'll let you know when it is posted.

I'd watch this but I can't say I'm excited or anything.

I've had the UK DVD pre-ordered for a couple of weeks now.

The Hammer revival continues apace but I've seen none of the films released so far. I've picked up Let Me In and The Resident on Blu-ray (the latter's out in Germany, if anyone's interested) but won't be able to see them until I move next month.

THE RESIDENT streets on DVD and Blu in the US on March 29.

WAKE WOOD will be on US DVD and Blu at the end of June (on DVD and Blu in Germany in May).

Looks good!

I'd love to see Hammer do a period film with constant actors (as in the good ole days). Would be nostalgic!

You're in luck - James EDEN LAKE Watkin's THE WOMAN IN BLACK is a period piece and opens in October.

But... it is supposed to be in 3D and casts Daniel Radcliffe in the lead.

...and? Probably best not to make too many assumptions given its release is still six months away...

3D has been used to great effect and given the material I’d imagine it’s not going to be massively obtrusive effects that are used in the film.

As for Radcliffe he’s little else besides the Harry Potter series in terms of film appearances, so I think he should be given the benefit of the doubt too.

He earned more money at 10 years old than I'll ever earn in my life, the little bastard!!

But yeah, I'm keen to see these new Hammer outings.
