Announcing a new (largely) retro fantasy film (and TV) festival to serve those dedicated aficionados of horror, sci-fi and fantasy. From the creators of the Fantastic Films Weekend comes a fresh stab at resurrecting the gory, glory days of Hammer, Universal, AIP, Amicus, Tyburn, Tigon and those other fear factories of yore. Expect to bump into some familiar faces: Chaney, Karloff, Lugosi, Rathbone, Price, Cushing, Lee et al. And it's not just horror. Fantastiq aims to be a hub for lovers of all forms of fantasy cinema with some classic sci-fi thrown in for good measure.Catch up with our latest news here: http://fantastiq.co.uk/Send your requests - films, guests, events, themes. Easy transport links, good (and close) accommodation, pubs and restaurants to Fantastiq - tony@fantastiq.co.ukOur advisory board includes Jonathan Rigby, Uwe Sommerlad, David Del Valle and Alison Peirse. Interesting news, does this mean no more FFFestival? (Not that I went at all this year after the prevalence of so many DVD prints)
Does anyone fancy making this event the first official lovelockandload forum members meet up?
Does anyone fancy making this event the first official lovelockandload forum members meet up? Halifax is easy to get to by train so why not pencil it in when a date is set and all meet up?

What about the 'Art of the Nasty' launch that Elaine wouldn't let you go to? Surely that is the second one?
Is Bradford the second one then?
I think I need to redefine the criteria for what makes an official meet.
