  • Leonardo Tanzi is the Don!

Had this sitting around for a while and decided to stick it on this evening.

Starring Sandra Wey (who i've not seen before) and Antonio Marsina (Mountain of the Cannibal God, The Big Racket, Keoma) as a well to do husband and wife whose marriage is on the decline.

A thief breaks into the house when the wife is alone and decides to rape her (quite graphic aswell :-*) before leaving with an expensive painting.

When the husband returns from work and she breaks down in tears telling him, he is more concerned about the loss of the picture than the fact that his wife has been viciously raped, he tells her to forget about it and not go to the police as it could tarnish their reputation.

After a few days she goes to the police who tells het it's now too late, she convinces them to look at some mugshots and she finds him but doesn't say anything.

I thought she was going to deal out her own style of justice on him, but wait... she ends up fucking him and from there on the rest of the film is a softcore romp with the wife telling the criminal what toffs to rip off and when.

She joins them on a robbery which goes wrong and an officer is shot, by the end of the film the criminal is shot in the throat!

Great score btw which reminded me of the trumpet score from Abel Ferrara's "Angel of Vengeance".

A different approach from Valerii whom is was more accustomed to watching action orientated films (My Name is Nobody, Vai Gorilla, Sahara Cross, My Dear Killer)

For me the first 2/3 of the film kept me quite entertained and it seemed to be slower towards the end.
Not a great film but a lot better than some of the productions from this mid 80's era of Italian cinema.

I've got it on Greek vhs with English language.

Sounds pretty interesting and something I'd like to see. What's the picture quality like on the Greek release?

I have that tape as well but haven't seen it yet. I was discouraged by a fellow collector who watched it and told me it was one of the worst Italian films he had seen. I will still give it a try sometime. There's Tony Marsina (COLT 38 SPECIAL SQUAD, ROLF) in it which makes it more interesting  to me.

The picture quality is good, fullscreen but it doesn't appear to be scope.

Haha, you are right and that's why I said I am still willing to give it a try! I was kind of discouraged cause my friend said it was dull and very slow-moving and that he almost fell asleep while watching it. I don't mind "terrible" films but I have a problem with the ones that are painfully slow.

Yes, the one I have is the HVH (Home Video Hellas) one, don't think there were more Greek releases of that. A few months ago I passed on a Greek lobby card of it.
