Didn't know there was an 80s TV series of Crepax's Valentina character. Just saw this English-friendly DVD release:http://www.kultvideo.com//articles/ArticleSheet.aspx?aid=5911. Was tempted until I saw the opening credit sequence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uzHP54xjNrs

I'd give it a go. Yes, the credits are cheesy but it is 80's tv after all  :-\

She's got a nice bum too  ::)

I have the Italian DVD set and I warmly recommend it. All of the 13 episodes are quite weird and interesting - although some are obviously better than others. What I really like is how they can all be categorized into different genres. Many of them are fantasy/horror stuff but there's also an episode that plays out like a Tinto Brass-style erotic drama, some tongue-in-cheek adventure stuff and even a neat giallo episode. You never really know what's coming and that's great, plus you get guest appearances by a couple of old favorites such as Bruno Corazzari, John Karlsen, Eva Robin's, Guido Alberti and a wonderful turn by Assumpta Serna as Baba Yaga. You should really give it a chance - I at least had a really wonderful time with this set!

There's loads reasonably priced on eBay but the postage takes the piss.

Wow, it's been decades since I saw a reference to this series.  :-\

It was a fun, trashy show. Like pretty much every 80's Italian series I've seen, nudity is certainly part of the equation.
Italians sure loved to undress their women in pretty much everything on TV, even on game shows! Not that I'm complaining...  ;D

When I was growing up, I was fortunate to watch quite a few Italian series on TV, both on the local Portuguese channels (La piovra, ...), and watching Rai transmissions using my satellite dish.

Is anyone aware of any other 80's action/adventure/horror/erotic Italian TV series also available on DVD?
It was a nice surprise to find out this show is available on the format, so I'm curious if anything else of interest is also available on DVD in Italy.

Quite a few shows I would love to have. A lot of familiar faces used to show up all the time.
