I'm wondering about the Le Continential, which apparedntly was a series of Eurothrillers on itv, including Bird with Crystal Plumage and Fulci's Beatrice Cenci. Did they show any other giallos? What fillms did they show, any examples? I'm just curious.

I might be completely wrong. It could have been the Freda film I taped. I think I've fucked my brain over the years.

No, what I'm saying is that when I was that age I wasn't aware of Beatrice Cenci and Fulci's other films, just the more known stuff

I remember taping The Bird with the Crystal Plumage off ITV back in 1991. It wasn't part of an Italian film series though, although it was uncut which was a nice surprise.

I can confirm 100% that Beatrice Cenci was shown on British TV years ago, I remember asking my brother in law to tape it for me. I assume it was shown on Granada as he lives in Manchester and I can think of no other reason why I would not have taped it myself

I remember Bird being shown on ITV but didn't record it at the time.  Franco's "Dracula, Prisoner Of Frankenstein" was also shown around the same time I do believe.  Somebody told me ages ago that they had recorded Beatrice Cenci off the TV but the dog scene was cut.

A few Italian Westerns: KEOMA and DJANGO AGAINST SARTANA are two I remember vividly. (Was THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE UGLY screened as part of this season too? I can't remember.) There were also some Euro-comedies: THE GENDARMES OF ST TROPEZ sticks in my mind as one of the films I remember staying up for.

I also remember ITV showing the German film THEO AGAINST THE REST OF THE WORLD as part of this series. I remember that screening vividly; I haven't seen the film since. (Is there an English-friendly DVD release? I'd love to see it again.) I think they also showed some Alain Delon flicks, but I can't remember which ones.
