Now that we have the backing and are good to go ahead with the interview I'd like to ask everyone if they have any questions they'd like to ask Ray during the interview.

We'd like this to be a career spanning interview so feel free to ask about any aspect of his career.

Just want to say thanks to everyone who stepped up to fund this - I'm really chuffed we've saved this opportunity... it could have very easily not happened at all.

Just one thing about the questions (and a rather obvious point...) I need to make the guy feel comfortable so please don't ask anything that might be intrusive to his private life! Keep it clean and just focus on the films. I always approach these interviews chronologically starting with the first and ending with the last... although in this case I don't think there's any point going into much (any!) of his television work which makes up most of his recent work.

  • Leonardo Tanzi is the Don!

What are his memories working with Lilli Carati and Gloria Guida in To Be Twenty?

Did he think bigger things may have been on the horizon after his small role in The Cassandra Crossing?

And Fiddler on the Roof for that matter.

Sorry about that! I had to get this started today though as I wasn't sure if it would get the backing in time for the October deadline. Didn't realise how quick the response would be!

You'll still get to see the interview though.

I would love to hear his views on the decline of the Italian film industry, to what it is now.
It's always great to hear about it from someone who actually lived it, and was a part of it.

Also, a few misc. things you may like to ask about:
-working with Arthur Kennedy on Non si deve profanare il sonno dei morti (The Living Dead at The Manchester Morgue);
-working with Edwige Fenech on La vergine, il toro e il capricorno (The Virgin, the Bull and the Capricorn);
-working with Fulci on Murderock;
-other questions about some of his minor films, such as working on that bizarre (but fun to watch) mess that is Play Motel.

Play Motel...now that would be an interesting line of discussion.

I'd love to hear about Risking and particularly the stunts.

Anthony/Jonny would it be taking the piss to ask Ray to sign an image for each of the 25 that could be included in the DVD case? Would be a nice little bonus.

What do you mean mate? Like a separate still, an insert card type thing?

Yes, just a small insert, like you did with your Queens of Evil DVD, that Ray could quickly sign 25 of. I could get the images printed at work on quality photo paper for free if you want.

How did he got involved in the vocals of some of the theme tunes?

Was a music career something he ever considered on a larger scale?

I think he mentions this on one of the interviews he's already done? Didn't he do the theme songs as a way to practice his English?

Gutted, got here too late to pitch in but glad to see it's funded. Good luck with the project!
