Personally i love Bunuel's films, this being his last, they aren't for everyone though, if you like strange surrealist cinema then maybe.For example one of the main characters [the female lead] is played by two different actresses, if you like, 'Belle du Jour','The Discrete Charm of the Bourgeoisie' or some of David Lynch's films then i would say give it a go, but for me, Bunuel is one of my all time fav directors.

One of his i would not recommend to new viewers would be 'The Milky Way' quite a difficult film about religious dogma, watch a few others before watching that one.There are quite a few Bunuel films available to watch for free on YouTube, including this one;

Ensayo de un crimen [AKA 'The Criminal Life of Archibaldo de la Cruz'] (1955)
Ensayo de un crimen (1955) [MultiSub] - [Luis Buñuel]

The music box melody strangely reminds me of the music used during the dream sequences of 'Tenebrae', i wonder if that was intentional ?
