I've got most of these but imagine they're out of print now, pal:

Crimes of the Black Cat (Dagored, Italy)
Bloodstained Butterfly (release I have is Spanish, forget which label)
Death Carries a Cane, Iguana and Rings of Fear are all Austrian releases in hardboxes.

Happy hunting.

Cheapo versions of Iguana Trauma aka Rings of Fearand The Dead Are Alive are available from Sinister Cinema if you don't mind sacrificing quality. Same with Crimes of the Black Cat, which, as mentioned was on Dagored, but not sure if it's OOP at this point.

There's an Eyecatcher DVD of Bloodstained Butterfly, with English, German, Italian audio and English subs.

Crimes of the Black Cat - avoid the Dagored release like the plague, I made the mistake of buying it at the time... it's pretty bad, like their other releases. There's an excellent fandub/sub of the Italian DVD by the forums very own dementedUk - try sending him a pm. It's the best version around.

There's an Austrian R2 DVD from Copernicus of Death Carries a Cane with Italian/English audio (but no subs)

An Italian Cinekult DVD of Rings of Fear - No English options... yet.

The best version of You'll Die at Midnight is a DVDR fandub from CG's DarioArgento - Dual audio Italian/English.

Hope that helps.

Completely agree with this. To put it mildly, the Dagored DVD is fucking shit. Not only did I also make the mistake of buying it, but I sold my uncut Greek VHS before the had DVD arrived  :(  only to find out that Dagored used a censored print...

I also should note that the Italian DVD uses an alternate clothed take of one scene so unfortunately it's also not fully uncut.

This would be a wonderful choice of release from Camera Obscura (hint hint!). The artwork & posters available for this film are beautiful and would look awesome on a CO DVD cover if given the usual treatment. Plus it's nasty enough to market to horror fans as well as Gialli purists.

Alot of the titles I'm after are ones I've wanted for years but haven't ever found them at a reasonable price or with a decent print. I really wish I'd bought The Dead Are Alive when Code Red re-released the other year. Crimes of the Black Cat has always intrigued me because it just looks so sleazy and scuzzy, I'm finding the gialli I return to most are the more nasty / sleazy ones. New York Ripper gets played at least a couple of times a year.

I'll admit that most Dagored releases aren't the best, but I didn't hate their edition of Black Cat, although I'll freely admit to not being familiar enough with that particular giallo to ascertain how cut their print was, overall.
