I just want to point out that I'm counting at least 'three' fandubs of Atlantis Inteceptors created in the last month or so... from three different people.

It's all good though! Some folks don't have access to CG etc so it's good to see people willing to share their efforts by other means.

I've been working on mine since I bought the German DVD back in August (?) but only got time to complete it over the Christmas break (I work in education, so have very limited free time during term time). I'm not sure why this is a problem? I assumed that, given the recent release of the German DVD, someone else would create their own fandub, and I'm sure there are many others out there currently, but I've got the skills and access to the technology, so why not make my own? Plus there's no competition amongst the fan community and, either way, I'd snap up a legit English release in a heartbeat.

It was quite an awkward job to complete, as in some scenes the German DVD runs a second or two longer than the English VHS rip I was working with. It was quite hard to keep the English audio in sync; for those brief gaps in the soundtrack, I looped ambient sound effects rather than leave them silent. I think it works quite well.

Absolutely. I've never been on CG, so fans sharing their fan subs & fan dubs is a Godsend to me.

It's not cut The VHS rip I took the audio from was one of the intact Scandinavian tapes (the Danish one, I think, although I'm not good at recognising Scandinavian languages) which I acquired in a trade about eight or nine years ago, and the German DVD actually runs a few seconds longer than it (due to a couple of scenes being extended by a second or two).

A pre-cert is no indication that something will be uncut. A hell of a lot of them were the same cut/uncut versions the BBFC rated for cinema.

Yes, I think this one's got quite a good cult following, so I was expecting that someone else would have come up with the idea of providing a fandub of the German disc once it was released back in August. As a fan of this film, I was very pleased with the German disc (it's non-anamorphic but looks handsome enough) but frustrated by the lack of English options - not that I expected them, of course. It would be nice if this got a good US/UK release at some point. Hopefully the various fandubs will keep the cult of this one alive and maybe attract some new fans.

The girl who is hiding in a house with the couple gets burned in the uncut version, in the Medusa version thats missing. The wife of the same couple gets speared in the mouth in the uncut and again thats missing.
Havent watched all of the rest so would expect other minor things. Still a very entertaining movie tho and ive got Concorde Affair to watch when i get chance.

I didn't realise there was that much missing, I only saw the Medusa tape once and then then I got a Norwegian one.
