Their "sister" company, now called OCN Digital Labs (http://ocndigital.com/), has frequently done work for Synapse, Severin, Drafthouse Films, Distribpix, among others.

Ultimately, this equipment upgrade is great news, because it will surely result in better releases from other labels as well, including some of the above.

It's crazy to think some of these films were unavailable in home video formats, and now will have 4k scans, especially since most catalog releases from the big Hollywood studios, including some of the bigger classics, get 2k scans.

A heads up, for those who might be interested: Vinegar Syndrome decided to release The Jekyll & Hyde Portfolio, coupled with A Clock Work Blue, as a BD/DVD combo, limited to 1000 copies.

They will be selling half of the stock on their website (pre-orders are up for $24.98, and apparently over half of it was sold already), and the rest at conventions during the year.

These two titles will also be released as a double-feature DVD in April, but missing the X rated cut of A Clock Work Blue that is included as a bonus on the BD/DVD combo (and obviously missing the BD as well).
