Gideon Of Scotland Yard (John Ford, 1958)

Jack Hawkins stars as Chief Inspector George Gideon and follows a his day at work solving crimes, a murdered girl, a crooked cop and a payroll robbery are some of the things he has to deal with. It's pretty average but enjoyable enough, I was surprised to see it was directed by John Ford when the credits went up.

Whenever they are in offices there are some great miniatures of London in the background with little cars and buses moving along, presumably pulled along bit by bit by someone with some string or the like.
