Hell-O friends,

After finishing the 45th anniversary edition of THE BRUTES (coming end of May), we will take care about the German crime opera ANGELS OF THE STREET.

Two worldwide premieres in home cinema will make everybody jump.  ::)
And both releases will come incl. English dub and subs.

Some impressions of our new 2k transfer of ANGELS OF THE STREET

  • Leonardo Tanzi is the Don!

Watched it the other night, really enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to Subkultur releasing more of these German crime films, I've liked all the ones in this range so far.

I've just ordered the dual format edition along with some other stuff. I like these Deutsch crime film releases as well.

I noticed they were doing a regular edition with just the BD in a standard Blu ray case.  Ths is the one I went with as it was quite a bit cheaper, though the case doesn't fit in with the previous releases, luckily im not OCD about such things.. :'(

I think that there are four editions available: DVD only, Blu-ray only, dual-format release and dual-format release with a book.

Exactly! The dual-format is actually sold out now, but DVD and BD are still available for everyone to check out German stuff.
More will come next year and we will also start releasing it in the U.S.
A lot of great stuff is coming

I'm looking forward to see what other things you have in store!

So are we. Bloody Friday was planned for the international start but since it needs some extra time we decided to start with something else and we're sure it will be a surprise for a lot of fans. A few titles will also get a 4k restoration, but already I beg for forgiveness that it will also take a while.  :D

A few HD premieres are coming and even a few worldwide home video premieres.

We're personally very excited and happy to release one of our faves on BD for the first time. Carl Schenkel's claustrophobical thriller ABWÄRTS (English title: OUT OF ORDER).

Check out the German trailer:

ABWÄRTS looks like an interesting film from the trailer and is one that I've never heard of before. I have quite a few Deutsch films on my to-watch pile including Der Fan, Der Blechttrommel and quite a number of Rainer Werner Fassbinder films.

You'll like it. We do a complete new restoration from the negatives and everything will be English friendly (dub and subs)
