I found this link from RAI about the film. I don't speak or read any Italian, and the Google Translation is rough, but it seems to suggest that "Roma: Imago Urbis" aired at least once on Italian television. Can anyone confirm that?

Somewhat related: I posted a piece on Medium about Bazzoni's 60s and 70s features. Figured some of you might be interested in it!

Great read! Thanks for posting the link. Makes me want to go back and re-watch all the films (again). Really looking forward to the Man, Pride and Vengeance Blu and hope The Fifth Cord gets one sooner or later as well.

A bit late to the party - but I've been busy as hell (as always) these last few days.

I think that article above is in response to the other link where Carlo Lizzani pleaded for it to be screened on TV - and I guess they did? It certainly looks like it reading the article.

Just a heads up that I'll be looking at episode 1 over May - I'm working flat out till around June 5th - so things will be slow, but I should be able to get something ready by the end of the month, it just depends on work. The good news is that from June to (around) September/October I will be putting my feet up and have all the time in the world to work on this one properly. So... it's going ahead, but please be patient!

What I really need to do first is get some discs I should have sent out about 3 months ago sent out... hopefully I can sort them out this week.

For all fellow Bazzoni fans: Movie Matters podcast just posted their latest episode, covering Bazzoni (The Fifth Cord and Le Orme in particular). They used some information from a couple of us here on the forum as reference. Here's the link: http://www.moviematterspodcast.com/2015/09/movie-matters-33---luigi-bazzoni-double-bill/

Friends, Romans, Maurizio Merli, lend me your ears...

Just a heads up that I'm on a mission to locate a better VHS player for the recordings. It's been on my mind for a while as I'm not 100% happy with my current player. Looks like I might have found one in town, just need to test it out.

The plan is to record all (let me check...) 15 episodes to DVDR then scan the books - essentially digitizing the entire project. I'll sub the first episode, which is going to be a challenge in itself!, and then offer it up to anyone who wants it here on the forums (provided that's okay with Rabbitroom, of course) Ultimately, this is about preservation more than anything else. I'd like to get at least 10 copies sent out across the forum so, when the time comes, just let me know and I'll send them to you.

Estimate? Not long once I'm happy with the VHS player - the books will take a month or two. Then we're good to go.

Just wanted to keep all you centurions updated.
