If anybody is interested hmv are already selling the bluray(stores only). They are selling it a few weeks earlier than online stores as an exclusive.Iv only quickly scanned the film and it looks awesome. Will report back later when iv gone through the entire film/extras.

Also its worth knowing that its a couple quid more expensive than amazon and other online sellers

Over on SexGoreMutants it has been mentioned it should be uncut.

Quote
The blu-ray clearly shows Ogilvy twat Price 6 times with the axe, then there is a natural cutaway to more action, then we come back and he twats him 3 more times. In terms of violence, it's uncut.

The blu-ray offers the uncensored director's cut - I can confirm it is exactly 86 minutes and 42 seconds in length.

Mondo Digital Blu-ray review...

http://www.mondo-digital.com/witchfinder.html

"Though MGM (as distributed through Fox) seems completely uninterested in mining its horror catalog on Blu-Ray beyond the late '70s, Odeon has come to the rescue in the UK with a superlative all-region release that's easily the best of all possible options. The MGM logo at the beginning is a tip-off that this is indeed from the same restored director's cut element made for the earlier release, but the boost in resolution here is very welcome as you can now count the hairs on Dwyer's head and make out minute texture details in the military uniforms."

Whats "Hmv exclusive" about it?

I never thought it was an HMV 'exclusive', more that HMV were selling it in store earlier than everyone else.

It's an HMV exclusively higher priced version. To be fair, £16.99 isn't too bad for them really.

It's £14.99 on play and hmv. Or are you on about an instore price?
