La vie criminelle d'Archibald De La Cruz
A bizarre black comedy about a man whose overwhelming ambition in life is to be a renowned serial killer of women, and will stop at nothing to achieve it - but not everything goes according to plan...
I remember reading a review for this in an old Video Watchdog and have always wanted to see it. Well... I stumbled across an out of print R2 DVD on eBay for £4.99 and just had to buy it! (cheeky fuckers charged me £3.99 postage from the UK though!)
Not usually one to go for arty Directors like Buñuel but this film sounds just up my street.
Anyone seen it?

I finally got round to watching last Sunday afternoon. There's something quite comforting watching an old Black & White film on a Sunday afternoon isn't there? Or is it just me? haha! It was too hot for my smoking jacket and slippers... Wink
A really good, quite wicked, little film. Surprisingly risque for it's time, lots of sexual undertones, even some religious fetishism at one point, Archibaldo fantasizes about his new wife kneeling before him and praying to the Virgin Mary... Also quite funny, not laugh out loud, but very amusing.
