I watched Code Red's Light Blast last night (5/10 for that one!), and the trailer for this film was on it. Looks bonkers! I'll order that next month.

I've watched it now and this sure is one weird little film, isn't it? It borrows from so many different American films and then adds a bit of that magic Italian strangeness - resulting in a really one-of-a-kind flick. I don't think it's entirely successful but I quite enjoyed it. The cosmic prologue, the freaky stuff on the roof top, the scene on the highway and the sequence with Glenn Ford in the car (featuring some very impressive and dangerous-looking stuntwork) were particularly impressive. The acting is better than expected, too, and Franco Micalizzi's score is addictive! I would have liked to get a few more Euro-actors in the cast, though, but at least we get a bizarre-looking Franco Nero.

I think Code Red have done a very good job with this disc. I'm really saddened by the news that they intend to close down soon as I think they're one of the better companies out there right now.

I watched the Code Red dvd this evening, very strange film but very compelling. Last time I saw it was on a Norwegian tape but I couldn't remember it properly to notice what extra scenes there are.

This post at Mobius mentions some of the differences between the US theatrical and Code Red version.

THE VISITOR was the top pick on two top ten lists (including mine) at DVDBeaver's 2010 DVD/BluRay of the Year Poll.<br />

And Ovidio apparently stated they only have the theatrical rights?
