I hear there' s a jolly nice Fan DVD of CORRUPTION doing the rounds, 16x9 anamorphic too.  :D

It is indeed jolly nice! Cool little extra feature on there too, showing the alternate scene from the French VHS of Peter Cushing touching the bare breasts of the dead hooker and then graphically cutting her throat.

That looks cracking, Jonny. A damn sight better than my murky version.

I love the font used for the titles - I think it's called Eurostile.

It's all Marc's doing. Nowt to do with me, I just remembered I had a copy after he posted about it this morning... The font on those titles are from the original release, no idea where Marc sourced the print from though.

The showing last year, Marc? I thought it was on TCM. TNT has commercials or they did. Haven't watched the channel in years. I just did miss the showing.

Yeah, that was it - TCM.

I read somewhere that it's getting an official release some time soon - but I bet the alternate French sequence isn't included as an extra.

You're right. Probably not. Do you think emailing Sony or whoever is handling it might help somewhat? That sort of thing has worked in the past.

Official Spanish DVD is out from Sony under the 'Columbia Classics' banner. Slightly cut version but the best and only legit DVD available at the moment.

Only seems to be available via eBay sellers at the moment, DVDgo doesn't have it listed at all so maybe these are pre-release copies? Anyone know anything?

I've got the first edition of "Corruption", with the painted cover, the publishing date appears to be 1967. An interesting read as it gives motivations to the characters, the plot is very similar to the film( without the "Laser Killer" extra scenes!) as the film is'nt mentioned anywhere in the book i wonder if the film was based on the book, or vice-versa?. There was also a Peter Saxon novel of "Scream and Scream Again" which i've got, from the same publisher and time period; maybe the pseudonomous Mr.Saxon was one of the great British plot-meisters of the 60s.. Just got the Criterion "Fiend without a Face", which i cant play at the moment (region 1), appears to have an audio commentary by Richard Gordon and other stuff, classic Brit horror...( i disagree with the comments above, there are definitely worse hacks than this guy..)
