Yep they are there. I imagine they are there because of the retiming of the English audio. It's common in a lot on fan dubs.

Do they drop out in the same place as the fan dub Martin did all those years ago?

I asked this twice but nobody reply, is this the same fandub ??

Surely someone has both and can check? It's hardly rocket science to play both discs is it?

I think we have the answer for your question, Jonny.
The problem with the english audio was, that the licencee delivered us only a very bad copy of it.
So we had the choice...using the (very!) bad one, with constant audio dropouts and partly over many minutes...or to remaster the english audio of the swedish vhs tape.
We took the second option. And yes, it's possible that the tape was the source for different fandubs - and there are many!

Excellent film! Loved Tanzi again in this one too! He didn't lose a bit of his character in this, just continued slapping people off! Merli, Milian and Saxon, can't really go wrong with them.

As good as this film was I still prefer Rome armed to the teeth. But still definitely in top3 of Lenzis films with Rome armed to the teeth and Seven blood-stained orchids.

By the way, what is preferred way to watch euro cult movies? Dubbed or subtitled? I personally always want to watch with original soundtrack and English subtitles.

Depends on the film and the nationality of the lead cast.

What they said. Generally I prefer original language plus subs as well but if it stars an actor/actress who has dubbed their own voice, I'll sometimes opt for the English audio. For example, I prefer to watch John Saxon, Henry Silva and Carroll Baker with their own voices and can't get used to watching them in another language.

I find the earlier Franco Nero ones without his voice a little odd.

Yeah it is odd hearing nero with someone elses voice, though the dubber who voiced him in "Confessions of a police captain" was very good i thought ( Not sure who he was?) I also prefer the english dubs especially if it features American actors. Take "Crimebusters" or "The Boss" Henry Silva is in almost every scene in those films making it the only language choice for me.

I reckon it depends on how good the dub voice actors are as to wether i prefer it over subtitles. Saying that i tend to side with dubbing cos im lazy like that.

I find using fandub audio for a legit release is a cop-out, if i shell out cash for a release i expect certain standards , like better quality audio from the version already traded/downloaded.

Martin created this for fans - and without a single penny for his time.

I dont expect any comment from Film Art on this matter , after all fandubbers dont own the elements contained within these dvd's.

But saying that its a fantastic release which will give me many years of pleasure viewing it

Rewatched the FilmArt disc, this time in Italian to experience the film differently.
