 'aka' Avvolti sulla città

Another Maurizio Merli film I pulled off Pollanet that I've never seem, nor heard of for that matter. An Italian/Spanish/Mexican co production that quite likely has never seen an English language version. Hugo Stiglitz, Mel Ferrer, Lili Carati and Francisco Rabal are the only names in the cast I recognise.

Couldn't find any poster art or any other info out about this one. Anyone?

I've got a copy on vhs that Julian did for me about 12 years ago but unfortunatley it is in Spanish with no English subs, must be very rare because i have never seen one anywhere.

The English title is "VULTURES OVER THE CITY" so you never know it may have come out somewhere.

DOES ANYONE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD KNOW IF IT EXISTS IN ENGLISH? (or subs :D)

Gianni Siragusa was also responsible 4 MILLION IN 4 MINUTES with Antonio Sabato, not the best crime thriller but worth a look.

I have a copy of this one but haven't watched it yet. It IS very rare- it was a bitch for me to track down. I don't think there is an English version anywhere either... The film must be good though- I should give it a watch soon..

One of Maurizio Merli's more 'obscure/hard to find' films...

Only copy I have is in Spanish and the picture quality is not the best... Lilli Carati's in it too...

imdb talks about Avvoltoi sulla città as the italian title, but seems that this edition don't exist and never was in italian ltheaters

it's a bit strange because it was an italian co-production with two famous italian actors as Maurizio Merli and Lilli Carati, perhaps there were troubles with production

however I saw it some weeks ago, not a bad movie and not worst than other 'polizieschi crepuscolari' IMO

Polla,

What does 'polizieschi crepuscolari' mean in English?

you are right, sorry  :( :D

"crepuscolo" is an italian elegant way for "sunset", so polizieschi or western crepuscolari are the last movies of the genres as Il commissario di ferro by Stelvio Massi or Keoma

generally i don't like them, they make me a bit sad...
