...glad i didn't bother with the MB disc now.

The MB DVD is good for the subtitled Lenzi commentary so I'd say it's worth picking up if you can find it for a good price.

I am sure the Italian discs look better than the MB one. I may keep it for the Lenzi commentary though!

The Italian NoShame release has a Director comm track too so the MB disc could well be a port of the NoShame one? Or maybe MB licensed the comm track and synched it up with their own print?

I believe the source for the MB disc was a master from Sam Sherman's Independent International.  Judging by the releases of other titles licensed from I-I, most of the masters are not in great condition.

Eyecatcher, here we go again... ::) Sorry if it looks like I am spamming this board with their output but they really are under full sail at the moment.

As expected none of the NoShame/Media Blasters extras are included. :(

I think cover B is better but that's not saying much to be honest.

Yeah, not much between the two is there?

Well, I do like the hairdo on cover A.  May get a perm and start wearing my hair like that.  :-*

  • Soon to be a Major Motion Picture

I think cover B is pretty cool -- but then again, I have seriously low expectations; I first saw this movie as a U.S. '80s vhs release under the title FINAL PAYMENT, and the cover was just some hazy shot of a woman in a negligee. In the synopsis on the back, they had changed the name of Milian's character from "Rambo" to "Randall" just to avoid any possible confusion.

(I think that tape was Vestron, but I can't be certain.)

The Italian credits look better but i'd say out the two bottom pictures the top one looks better.

Same here, there's not such an improvement that it makes me want to double dip. I'll be fine with the Media Blasters disc for now.

Me too, but i thought it was missing a small amount of footage (don't know what though)

Just dialogue apparently. It's mentioned in the thread below...

Additional footage or not, this one looks worthy of an upgrade based on the PQ alone  :-X
