Anybody else like this great giallo by master Lenzi? It is one of my all-time favorites.

I thought this was good - one of Lenzi's best gialli. The Shriek Show print is very nice, too.

I really love the main theme by Riz Ortolani which is actually the instrumental version of a song from Lenzi's earlier SO SWEET SO PERVERSE. Same theme can also be heard in the rare mondo film NUOVA GUINEA L'ISOLA DEI CANIBALI.

That really surprises me, mate. All are worthy, though I do prefer SEVEN BLOODSTAINED ORCHIDS and SPASMO to EYEBALL. The latter is very stylish and quite nasty, though it's fairly predictable.

The Shriek Show disc is nice, mate. Definitely worth having.

I discovered some interesting info. Fulci was orginally set to direct Spasmo but then Lenzi took over for some reason.I love Spasmo. Its like a giallo in reverse, a very quirky fun film.

I have a screener of this: I'll have to compare to the DVD release.

I agree, Seven Bloodstained Orchids is excellent. Probably my favourite of Lenzi's Gialli.

Spasmo is a solid, atypical giallo. Eyeball is fun, but the film itself is somewhat clunky.

I have to say i've never seen a Lenzi film that i didn't enjoy on some level. I think he gets a short shrift in some quarters, but i think he's more consistently entertaining than Fulci for example.

Most of the music in Seven Bloodstained Orchids was taken from SO SWEET SO PERVERSE. However, Ortolani wrote approximately ten minutes of new music for the film, including the very cool opening titles track.  ::)
