Luigi Kuveiller's cinematography is competent but very traditional and without any distinct visual style – it's hard to believe this is the same guy who once shot DEEP RED.
Kuveiller also shot another P.A.C. production around this time: Lamberto Bava's BODY PUZZLE. It looks slicker than CIRCLE OF FEAR but also does not seem like the work of an Argento cameraman.
I read somewhere that Lado said that the film's original screenplay was diluted with elements from various genres (most notably Asian crime movies and SILENCE OF THE LAMBS type serial killer films) by the producers.
BTW, Carla Cassola's opening credit sort of spoils a climactic twist.
