Never managed to get this book when it was first released and so I've no idea as to how the updated version, which I have in front of me, differs. I'm guessing the original edition wasn't in colour but what about the size and layout?









I've had a quick flick through and it looks like a great read. Always interesting to read John Martin's writing so I'm looking forward to getting stuck in to this.

The original looked nothing like that. No colour. It was a pretty basic self-published effort.

Really? This one's glossy colour throughout the 161 pages. Picked it up for under a tenner off eBay.  :'(

It's a really good book - was well handy for helping me to write an essay when I was in college.

I have the original by Procrustes Press in London that i bought at the Cinema Store and like Kevin said it's no colour,just a small black and white book with dodgy binding-infact i think mine has fallen apart now.
That new one looks superb,i might get this as John Martin is a great writer and expert on Italian genre cinema just wish he'd reprint or bring back Giallo Pages magazine.

I think they were falling apart before they left the printers from what I saw.
