Ok since there is no topic on Playgirls... :D
Does anybody know if the Redemption/Salvation and Image versions of Playgirls and the Vampire are the same?
I have the Image dvd and some footage could be missing I think?
For example the scene with the housekeeper's death?

New French dvd from Artus Film.
Des Filles Pour Un Vampire (http://www.artusfilms.com/des-filles-pour-un-vampire)
-
Yep Artus is releasing this (in French only it seems),probably from a French print?
-
Don't know if it is cut but there was also a widescreen (matted) MonstersHD version of the US print.
-
Interesting!
How big is the matte on that one?
1.66:1?
The new French dvd is supposed to be 1.37:1.

I'll have to find my DVDR but I think it's a 16:9 crop.

Re:new French Artus dvd (not English friendly btw).
Ok first the most important thing,as far as I can see there's no additional footage on the French dvd.
I could be wrong but it looks as if they used the US print and added the French audio (and lots of snippets of English audio where there was no French audio available).
The film does have French titles though.
Also the beginning is a bit clumsily edited which makes that the hand comes out of the tomb twice... ???
I was under the impression that some footage was missing from a struggle between the housekeeper and the caretaker, however I've discovered that I remembered wrong and that's from another film (possibly L'amante del vampiro).
About the pic quality, the image is darker and softer.
I like the Image dvd's picture better as it is brighter and sharper which makes you notice more details (and see-through stuff :D).
Conclusion: stick with the Image dvd which is the best one currently available imo.

Does anybody have an Italian version of this?
-
Just thought I'd ask if there's an Italian language version available anywhere?
The French version *does* include some additional footage, during the opening sequence on the bus.
-
EDIT: There's a dvd mux available online - you can find it via Google, just search for the title of the film and add the word "mux" to your search.

Must have missed that! ???

Still searching for an Italian broadcast of this. I have some frame grabs taken from a screening with a TACB logo in the corner - does anybody have this one?
-
Is there anyone out there who'd be interested in doing English subtitles from the Italian version? We're hoping to release our DVD asap.

I have a friend who might be able to help, though I'm sure he'd want paying.
