Many of Morricone's scores are superb, as we all know and his giallo soundracks are often great, but A LIZARD IN A WOMAN'S SKIN some how eclipses his work on other Italian thrillers. Much like the film itself, it's surreal and dream-like. One of my favourites.

I recently just bought the CD of this score. I'd had it for a couple of years on mp3 but I must say listening to it via the CD on my headphones it's a fucking revelation. Unbelievable.

It's a really off-kilter score, isn't it? I would certainly rate it among Morricone's finest scores, simply for being so different.
