Watching Sergio Martino imitate the hysterical tone of the TORSO TV Spot is priceless

No mention of exactly what this is for, specualtion on AV Maniacs suggests a Blue Underground Blu-ray release.

Hopefully that's true.
I would love to have some Martino on Blu-Ray, especially from Blue Underground (which, IMO, are currently the genre label whose Blu-Ray output has been more consistently solid).

Here's hoping The Strange Vice of Mrs.Wardh, my favourite Martino film, will also come out on BD sooner or later.

A series of sex murders shock a college campus, and four beautiful young girlfriends head for the safety of an isolated country villa. But as they succumb to their own erotic desires, their weekend of pleasure becomes a vacation to dismember at the hands – and blade – of the lecherous maniac.

Directed by Sergio Martino (MOUNTAIN OF THE CANNIBAL GOD) and starring Suzy Kendall (THE BIRD WITH THE CRYSTAL PLUMAGE) and Tina Aumont (SALON KITTY), this Euro Horror chiller was originally released in America with much of its controversial violence removed by censors. Now freshly transferred in thrilling High Definition from the original negative, TORSO is presented here in its Uncensored English Version for the first time ever!

I just love Blue-Underground releases, they are a damned sight better than the editions we get over here for Eurocult blu ray and dvd releases.

What would be different from their other DVD release from 2 years ago?

Ah yes, thanks, I know its unlikely but do you think 'Uncensored English Version' would mean the English tracks that were lost have been found.

I'm not entirely sure, the only info I can find is what looks like a press release that says "Uncensored English language version for the first time ever".

I know as much as you do mate. Does anyone else have any ideas?

No idea, but I trust Blue-Underground to make a stellar job of it, unlike another companies I could mention  :D

  • Aarrgghh!

I'm guessing it's going to be the English language variant without the additional scenes that were never dubbed into English. Isn't the soundtrack musically different on that version too?

Sounds about right, not sure about the music but if it's an American 'English' version it's quite feasible that the music was changed.
