But you can be half happy now, since you basically own the Spanish version now minus the Spanish audio track
. The Italian version is identical to the Spanish one except for the language and some music cues here and there that are different, plus, you get the extended goat scene in the Italian version which was more or less cut in Spain.
The US version is the more interesting one as there are some scenes that were edited a little differently plus the alternative nudie shots of course. Both are included in the Additional Scenes section, and the US language track is synched to the Italian version which is also interesting since the dubbing is pretty crazy and the music has also been substituted with alternate tracks. So basically the US version is more or less conserved in the set as well. The German version was included because A) the VHS has a better quality than the dreadful US one, and B) the German version doesn't only have additional scenes but was also heavily cut, which makes it even more interesting (also because this is a German release and the German version has lots of fans -- and we could also do the interview with Günter Hendel which makes the presence of the complete German version all the more important).
Oh my, what a rant, but since there are so many different versions out there and only few people really know which one is which and what's different, I guess it's okay to write all these lines here... We tried to produce the set that makes the most sense and features everything you can possibly own of TOP SENSATION without going with a 4 disc set or something that features additional versions in bad quality that in the end no one really wants to watch. Not to mention the costs...
Since the negative was in such bad shape due to regrettably poor storage conditions, a blu-ray wouldn't have made much sense either since the shortcomings of the negative would have been all the more visible in HD. Believe me, some films are better off in SD.
Now you know what went on in our minds when we were working on this release.
I hope you all have fun with the set despite the sometimes tough decisions we had to make! And thank you so much for the support we receive(d) from all of you! I can't tell you how much we appreciate it! Without your help, this release would not have been possible in this shape.
