Also known as 'Shoot First... Ask Questions Later'

Anyone seen this one?

Milian playing a Japanese wannabe Samurai just seems too hard to resist especially as the Italian DVD from Millennium Storm has an English track on it.

I weren't too keen on it but if you don't mind the goofy slapstick give it a spin.  Was worth it to see Milian do his very un pc Japanese thing.

It's the un pc Japanese Milian that interests me the most. I think I'll buy the DVD next time I'm shopping at Kult Video.

You seen the Italian DVD Martin?

Yeah and it's a great transfer but I sold it because I couldn't see me watching it again.

Been trying to avoid it for years but seeing as some people recommend it I might just give it a whirl soon.

I have it. Only watched about 30 minutes though. A great cast. The Milian Japanese imitation didn't really bother me. With Gemma, Milian, Wallach and Nero it can't be all bad.

I'm afraid it is quite bad Commissario and most probably Corbucci's worst sw.
Its watchable but this attempt at out and out comedy just ain't funny. :(

It's one of about 5 Milian westerns I haven't seen yet.

I don't mind un PC...Tomas does it so damn well anyway.

I loved this; wasn't expecting much as I'm a big fan of Corbucci's westerns and didn't like the idea of him being involved with a comedy but it's great fun. Milian's portrayal of a Japanese man is borderline racist but it's a cracking film nonetheless.

The Italian DVD is very nice; decent anamorphic transfer. Definitely order it, Jonny.

I stopped watching this at about 20 minutes in. I'm not usually guilty about laughing at stereotypes, but Tomas Milian sucked in this!  I saw the version titled as "Samurai", a VHS transfer on the cheap 'Passion Productions' label. It's full screen (compressed horizontally) and has the source tape machine malfuntioning for a whole two minutes! Oddly, the Netflix description advertises a France Nuyen cameo, despite that the much less famous FRANK Nuyen has a minor role. Didn't ANYONE involved w/ the current distribution of this piece of shit see the movie all the way through?
