Been reading this today and it's really funny. Euro cult films are mentioned a bit, there's even an article titled 'Sleazy Cheap Giallo - Good Fuck Giallo' which had me laughing.

Loads of porn stuff. It gets a thumbs up from me  ::)

It's easy, like reading a fanzine. No problems at all.

I got mine on the weekend and have been reading through it. Some of the handwritten stuff gets a little bunched up in places but it's not that difficult to read. I can't say I have a desire to go looking for some of the films Robin reviews (especially all the skanky porn with people shitting on each other) and his anti-children tyrant is a little baffling but it certainly goes into the bowels of cinema. I was a newcomer when it came to the world of "cult" cinema and I was tarting to think I'd got pretty deep below the surface but the stuff in this book makes my viewing experiences seem like a trip to Disneyland.....

Yeah, it's a great book. I actually find the more skanky stuff quite facinating! His tirade on cinema-goers "fuck you cinema goer" was hilarious - and most of us can say "Yep, i've been there!".

It's entertaining through & through, but some of that stuff though!..:o  I also recommend ol Bougie's highly amusing blog (NSFW!): http://bougieman.livejournal.com/

I saw the book yesterday while shopping for presents, flicked through it, bought it for myself and ended up spending the next few hours reading it cover to cover. I enjoyed it and while not every article was of quite as interesting - I prefered the reviews and profiles more than the rants - it's clearly written by someone who knows his stuff, is enthusiastic about it, has his own style and doesn't self-censor in any way as regards content.

It kind of reminded me of a North American, more film-centred Headpress and I can definitely see myself picking up more recent issues from FAB or whoever else in the UK stocks them.
