SS Experiment on front page of the Sunday Times
« on: 27 Jan 2008 - 14:07 »

The Times have run a front page today on the re-release of SS Experiment Camp. The story runs over to page 2 and they even have an editorial on it too! The BBFC are quoted as saying 'we have no concerns about it. There is nothing in SS Experiment that is harmful'. The editorial says 'The film depicts women being raped, electrocuted, hung upside down, having their ovaries cut out and burnt alive in incineration chambers by guards dressed in nazi uniforms. That does sound "concerning".This film was banned 20 years ago and there seems no strong argument to have it lifted.'  Sad, and I bet my left nut whoever wrote the editorial hasn't seen the inept film in question.

Its funny that the same film is again on the spotlight after all all these years... Too bad it sucks though. Garrone's other SS film (SS CAMP 5 WOMEN'S HELL) is way better.

I read about this on the Anchor Bay UK forum - this type of sensationalist journalism is so fucking old - you would have thought people would know better in this day and age.

If you read the user comments at the bottom of the online article, most people seem not to agree with the position that the newspaper (and Brazier and his cronies) is taking. Their ploy seems to be backfiring on them  :-\

Can anyone remember Channel 4's documentary about THE DEVILS, which ended with Dudley Sutton calling the censors 'useless cunts who can't take the pace'?...

Didn't even realize it was released in the U.K., BBFC says uncut but was they given an uncut print.

I saw a pirate of this years ago round the blue fiesta driving piece of shit's house, can't remember it properly though, it was from the Go tape, was this release uncut?

The Shriek Show release is definitely uncut, I'd say go for the other Garrone film though..
