Welcome. As far as reading material goes you could do worse than starting off with Midnight Media's Blazing Magnums and Roberto Curti's Italian Crime Filmography. Check the Books and Magazines subforum here for info on those and others.

Hello chaps. Not sure why I've never said hello before. I tend to lurk a lot due to time.

Mainly collecting for well over 10 years Italian soundtracks and library records - some of you might know me from other forums.

Slowly watching every single Italian film possible, so I can find new unreleased music. Even when you think you've heard everything, you can still find new gems. Why I love it.

Totally feel the same way, mate. Amazing that we can still find so many obscurities; just goes to show you how prolific the Italian genre scene was back then, right?

Nice to meet you, and also nice to see a fellow soundtrack/library obsessive! Sometimes, I don't know which side of things I crave more, the music or the films, haha.

Cheers to you, and also MildManneredMan, Kevin's right: Blazing Magnums and Roberto's book are invaluable resources!  :P

Hello everybody.  I'm a huge fan of European, particularly Italian exploitation films and collect as many as I can on VHS, mainly.  I first got into horror films directed by the likes of Argento, Bava and Fulci when I was a lot younger, but now tend to prefer crime and war/action genres, thanks to my viewing of Live Like a Cop, Die Like a Man and the Last Hunter a few years ago.  Hopefully the site will enable me to discover more obscure films in these and other genres and also broaden my knowledge of genres I've only recently thought to delve into, such as Eurospy and Peplum, and obviously network with others who share a similar enthusiasm for these kind of works.  All the best:  Richard.

Hello, I will admit I'm a newby to all this. I've had a passing interest for years but am now getting more into it. The only interesting story I have to add is one afternoon as I was leaving work in the summer of 92 as I reached the corner who was standing there but Dario Argento. The thing that makes this amazing is that I live in Minnesota. I didnt know it at the time but he was scouting for locations for "Trauma". Yes I was too nervous to approach him.

Hi all! Great site, fantastic resource. I signed up a while ago and it's time to stop lurking! ;D I'm also a member of Pre-cert.co.uk, so already know a few folks on here.
Anyway, I'm a relatively recent (in comparison with some of you guys) convert to the marvels of gialli, poliziotteschi and Italo-westerns, but my passion for this stuff grows daily. Still lots of films to see but I'm gradually working my way through my ever-expanding collection. I also love British and Spanish horror and exploitation cinema in general.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to gaining further knowledge and contributing to this cool forum.

Salute!

Hi everyone! I'm Martin, long time horror fan, with massive leanings to Euro cinema. I write for Starburst Magazine, and am a regular lurker at Grimmfest and Festival of Fantastic Films.
