Have you seen this Pupi Avati film??
It received mostly fine reviews in 1996 but unfortunately it wasn't released in any countries aside of Italy...NoShameFilms Italy will release the dvd of "L'arcano incantatore" this year. ;)

This is great news, any info on language options yet? I have a subtitled, timecoded copy so the subs do exist for this.

A sublime and understated horror film. I love it, so I'm really excited about the news of a possible DVD release

This is great news - really like the Avati horror/gialli flicks I've seen, which were HOUSE WITH LAUGHING WINDOWS and ZEDER. I shall look forwrd to the release of this...

I have seen this on the big screen at the Brussels Festival.

It's ok, moody, but a bit slow.

Has this been issued on DVD anywhere yet?

I still have an English subtitled screener I picked up from the MIFED Milan film market back in 1996.

DVD due out 19th November from FilmAuro / Medusa (Italy)

There's English fansubs available too, so even if the Italian DVD doesn't have them it can be remedied  :'(

According to someone at the Latarnia Forums the Italian DVD will not be English-friendly. Personally, I am going to order it anyway. Just saw the subbed version from "the usual place" and loved it. Hopefully, it should pose no problem to match the subs with the new DVD.

So did anyone pick up the new DVD? And more to the point does anyone have a subtitle file that synchs up with the DVD? I have the fansubbed VHS version (the non-timecoded one), will the subs from that fit with the DVD?
