Here`s one that I`ve never heard of. A dvd from X-Rated Kult popped up at Xploited late last week - with 2 cover options. I hope to have it here in the next day or so, anyone here seen it? There`s an interesting review from one of the B Cult guys at the IMDb, that`s about all I`ve been able to discover. It certainly sounds nice and depraved - incestuous relationships and murders with a 3 point blade.

Note for Johan if he sees this, the cover linked here has a very similar image to the Sex Of The Witch poster I mentioned seeing in a magazine (I`ve looked everywhere for it online, no luck).

Love that poster Stephen. I actually received this dvd today, though I probably won`t give it a look till the weekend. Anyway, I pulled out that Ultra Violent issue that had a repro of a Sex Of The Witch poster and was able to compare this dvd cover w/it, and as Johan mentioned in that film`s thread, they definitely shared artwork. The "A" cover for Byleth is exactly the same as the Witch poster. Good call on that one Johan!

Cheers for that, Rogerio. I don`t know how I missed that thread. I assume the one piece from Sex Of The Witch is from your collection? I`m envious!  :P

He does a bit doesn't he,be great if someone could get an interview with him as he's starred in some real genre favorites like Torso,Frankenstein 80,Canne mozze etc.I was reading an article in Cine 70 where it says he married actress Martine Beswick after they met on the set of ONE MILLION YEARS B.C,he's now retired from acting and living back in England.

I understand he was working as a photojournalist for a while after acting.

Meant to reply to this thread earlier but I've been really busy the past two weeks. Anyway, I've already ordered this DVD and can hardly wait for it to arrive.

Not only does that guy look like John Richardson but the woman in the poster is NOT Claudia Gravy but Carroll Baker! It's from THE DEVIL WITH SEVEN FACES:

I think it was fairly common to re-use artwork from other films or at least parts of it. We could probably make a separate thread on the subject!  :'(

Its likely the artists didn't actually see the films they did posters for.

Yeah, probably. That image of Carroll Baker is from a scene in the actual film, though.

Sat down and watched BYLETH today and I quite liked it. Strange and atmospheric little horror film that looks lovely and has a great score. The mood is wonderful right up till the climax, which, unfortunately, is a big letdown. Still a cool little film, though. Mark Damon did an OK job but I was more impressed by the beautiful Claudia Gravy in the female lead.

The X-Rated DVD is non-anamorphic but generally looks quite good. Here are a couple of screenshots:

The disc isn't without problems, though. You get the option of watching in German or Italian language with English subs but they obviously couldn't get the complete Italian soundtrack since it switches over to German a couple of times (mainly in the first ten minutes).

And as usual, X-Rated's English subs contain several clumsy and unintentionally funny translations. The most hilarious ones are these:

"He took away the boody from the scene of the crime"

"It was the day of the prositution's murder"

"Shut up your mouth"

But overall, it's worth watching. Especially if you like this type of film.

Sounds like a must buy DVD, picture quality looks great looking at those grabs.

Those hairy armpits put me right off that bird though!  :-*
