Sounds like a must buy DVD, picture quality looks great looking at those grabs.

Those hairy armpits put me right off that bird though! 

i'm stoned, squint your eyes and her arm pit looks like a ladies bits...

it was because when the page opened the top of the pic wasn't in the screen because i scrolled straight to the bottom

Strange and atmospheric little horror film that looks lovely and has a great score. The mood is wonderful right up till the climax, which, unfortunately, is a big letdown.

I thought it was very similar in style and mood to Sergio Garrone's LE AMANTI DEL MOSTRO and LE MANO CHE NUTRE LA MORTE though obviously this was made a couple of years earlier,wonder if Garrone saw it and picked up a few ideas?
Very enjoyable though and totally agree about the abrupt ending which could have been done so much better,felt like a bit of a rush job and let down an otherwise excellent little obscurity.
Btw any idea who played the priest Johan,noticed this actor in loads of stuff over the years but can't put a name to him?

I think DEATH SMILES AT MURDER may also have been inspired by this film - mainly the incesctous feeling between brother and sister. The scene where the siblings are acting all playful out in the woods foreshadows similar imagery in DEATH SMILES.

The guy who plays the priest is Antonio Anelli, who is otherwise best known for playing Father Herbert in WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO SOLANGE? Anelli had a couple of credited parts but spent most of his career as an uncredited bit part actor - sometimes just appearing in the background. He was also a journalist in WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOUR DAUGHTER?, the police inspector who talks to Rosemarie Lindt at the morgue in EMANUELLE'S REVENGE, one of the guests at the Venetian party in EMANUELLE IN AMERICA and numerous others. He also acted in photo novels.

Watched this film a few nights ago.  Very enjoyable, but in this day and age, you'd expect a 16x9 DVD - even folks here are releasing 16x9 Fansubs/dubs - or at least put the subs on the image, not below , so you can zoom the image on a HD TV and still read the subs.

The fact this rarity has even been released is a miracle in itself,spent years looking for a copy without success so they can be forgiven them for a couple of small mistakes especially looking as good as it does and with English subs (almost sure there was never an English dub prepared).

From what I have been told, an English dub does exist but doesn't seem to have surfaced on tape anywhere.

I really appreciate the German DVD inspite of its flaws. I still find it quite odd, however, that several portions of the Italian soundtrack is missing. Is it possible that this German version is a longer/alternate cut? I'd be interesting to compare the old Italian tape release to the German DVD and check for possible differences...
