6 Films To Keep You Awake
« on: 23 Apr 2008 - 08:45 »

Did anyone catch the first film in this series on BBC4 last night?

Mateo Gil's 'Spectre' was a pretty effective little ghost story and bodes quite well for the rest of the series which features films from other Spanish directors such as Narciso Ibáñez Serrador, Álex de la Iglesia and Jaume Balagueró.

More info on the films at the link below...

Everyone was talking about this at work today, I had not even heard of it even though a colleague gave me a copy of TO LET a few months ago.  It sounds really good, a pat on the back to BBC 4 for showing it.

It's $79.95+shipping on Xploited, so DVDGo is probably the best bet, as there's no fear of additional customs charges.

Looks like a nice box set, I'll check out all the films first and possibly pick up the box later if I'm suitably impressed.

Four of these films were released on DVD in Sweden a while ago in a box set called 4 FILMS TO KEEP YOU AWAKE. A friend who works at the label gave it to me but I haven't watched any of the films yet...
