We're anxiously awaiting the delivery of 4 new HD masters from Italy next week! We already teased 3 of the titles we'll be upgrading to Blu-ray on here a few months back. Any guesses on the 4th title? Here's a hint: it's an Italian horror movie currently out on DVD from Blue Underground...

Well we know Rats/Hell of the living dead are coming. Maybe Contamination ( please !) will be one of the other ones. It will be one of the bigger films though, can't see them releasing an obscurity on blu

Living Dead and Rats we know about, did we even know a third film had been teased? All the Argento titles BU have the rights too have already been released haven't they? Could be Contamination or how about Conquest?

Companeros has already been confirmed by BU so that could be one if the four HD masters received from Italy.

I think it's a little sad that BU seem to have stopped releasing new stuff alltogether. Of course I'd rather see these HD upgrades than nothing at all, but still. Wake me up when they announce High Crime for BD please.

I think BU are putting their catalogue titles out on Blu because they already own the rights to them. I think that's why so many studios are 'playing it safe' by not buying new titles, plus there are only so many titles that can be bought or have known masters. It would be nice to see other undiscovered films get a release but often their rights are too expensive or the labs have no idea where the films actually are.

Maybe once the economy picks up BU and others will start putting out lesser known titles again. Theres still a load of gialli to see the light of day or to be re-released by another studio, there was all the NoShame titles that must have expired rights.
