Anyone else seen or like this thriller about a man on a country fishing trip who sees the murder of a prostitute by a influential teacher/professor and ends up in the frame for the crime himself?It was directed by Vittorio Salerno who also made SAVAGE 3(Fango bollente) and is of course the brother of Enrico Maria Salerno who also stars as a journalist,great bit of acting from Riccardo Cucciolla as the creepy murderer as well.
Sadly there doesn't appear to have been an English version of this prepared and Movietime distribution only has the Italian,German and Spanish editions,a shame as it's a superb little film and very easy to follow.My copy came from an Italian tv broadcast on Odeon,lbx and good quality if a little grainy.

Not heard of this one before.

Looked it up and noticed that it had quite an average take at the box office, 73,000,000 (about $100,000) roughly about a third of what 'Milano Odia' took the previous year for example.

There's also a 45rpm single issued through EMI Columbia, so I'm assuming there's some cool tunes from Riz Ortalini in this then?

Yeah there's a nice catchy song called 'Mamma giustizia' which plays throughout,i think it was quite a popular record in Italy at the time.

I had heard of this and it's on my wants list but sadly have never seen it. Look slike it had some cool lobbys too going by the ones in that link. Will try and track it down.

a very nice giallo, Vittorio Salerno was great to direct massive'n'hard stories... Cucciolla as usual is always one of the best men with two faces

the end of this movie was strictly choosen from the producer... when you will see this movie you can understand why, i don't want spoiler

yes, Cucciolla was great as bastard, not as Franco Fabrizi but a good bastard 

however i read that No il caso è felicemente risolto will be broadcasted on italian sat channel 'Rai Sat cinema' on June, 18 at 02.25 (time of Rome)

i can't know if it's possible to see this channel from abroad... i think that in italy is in Sky bouquet (I haven't sat...)

I'll try and get a copy of the Rai Sat broadcast at some point,unfortunately my Odeon dvdr contains all the adverts (including a few for businesses/events in the Bologna region ).

Just noticed it's Angelo Iacono who was also involved in the production of FANGO BOLLENTE,COLPO ROVENTE etc and a lot of Dario Argento's movies,he's also married to actress Cinzia Lodetti from LE PORNO KILLERS and Fulci's CONTRABAND.

Does anyone here know of a program that can re-create titles (specifically the end-credits) ?

A couple of things happened lately that make me enquire:

I was able to re-record this film from the RaiSat Broadcast with all of the end credits intact but, more importantly, someone on the Gente di Rispetto forums posted an e-mail from the director (Vittorio Salerno) describing how the film should've ended just before the final scene. (I won't go into detail, so as not to ruin anything)

Essentially, according to the director (and also mentioned here) the last sequence was an after-thought by the producer to make the ending somewhat clearer. Judging by the relatively poor over-dubbing the scene looks completely out of place and seems sloppily put together.

What I'd like to do is re-create the end credits (I can't use the ones that are there now because the credits are super-imposed over a still shot of the last frame - from the unneccessary scene)... And create the intended director's cut, which plays out a lot better (imho) leaving it ever-so-slightly ambiguous as to the final outcome.

I'm looking to fade out where the film 'should' end (with the music slowly fading in...) and then roll the end credits (same credits, but on a black background)

Any help would be thoroughly appreciated.

Hi DjangoLi,
you should be able to do crawling titles in virtuallly any video editing program either by using the built-in title generators or by importing and vertically moving images of the credits (in case you create them e.g. in Photoshop). Even (free) Windows Movie Maker can accomplish that. I think the most important thing is that you find a font that comes as close as possible to the one you'd like to recreate. I haven't seen the film so I can't make a suggestion there. If you don't want to tinker with any of that I can also render the end credits for you in After Effects and upload them.

I am against messing with the original film. Sure, the movie didn't turn out the way the director intended. But still, that is the original film and I don't see why anybody should mess with it- cut a sequence and add computer-generated credits. This is just a personal opinion of course. 

PS: Umberto Lenzi's HITCHER IN THE DARK is a similar case: Lenzi wanted a downbeat ending that was totally different from the one that producer D'Amato eventually shot. Lenzi never agreed but the movie came out as the producer wanted it.

I am not familiar with all those fansub projects and the idealistic and legal stuff involved but one could always include both endings so the viewer can choose between the different versions from the menu. One doesn't even need seamless branching - if a tiny pause (as in a chapter switch) is acceptable it should be possible to just apply different override actions to the chaptering of the video stream.
