Does anybody know how the German disc compares to the Eurovista DVD?
Here's a link to the German one:

The Eurovista DVD is a bootleg so I'm definitely interested in picking up the German release but I'd be interested to hear from someone who has a copy of it first.

Here's some grabs from the Eurovista release...

I believe the german disc is a bootleg too (at least according to a spaghetti-western.net it is). I don't know about the picture quality though. Maybe they use same print as Eurovista. At least they use the same cover pic which is even not from this film.

I'll stick with my Eurovista disc then for now, to be honest the quality ain't that bad really. So I'm happy.

Yeah the griminess of the dvd sort of suits the movie. I was wondering if that explosion at the end is meant to be in sync with the audio?

Saw it tonight, the print was a bit faded (moreso than the various home video releases, including the Eurovista disc) but totally intact, and sure enough, the audio was out-of-sync for that last reel, but it somehow works for me given the film's flash-back/freeze-frame style.

Attendance was sparse-ish (BADAZZ MOFO's David Walker was there, probably the second U.S. 'zine critic after Steve Puchalski to write favorably about the film back in the 90's), and despite some respectfully quiet riffing, C9 really worked these folks over. Two choice quotes overheard: "The flashbacks were great, I just didn't understand them!" and "Well, THAT was uplifting!".

Also, the audio was CRANKED in the auditorium, which definitely made for a more oppressive viewing experience.

Later this month: DOCTOR BUTCHER, MD!

I know, I actually laughed out loud at that one! It's like he was the voice of what everyone was thinking.

Code Red just announced a DVD for this streeting August 16th.
The extras they wanted failed to pan out but an upgrade of this one would be mot welcome.
