I am surprised this masterpiece doesn't have it's own thread on this forum. I watched it again the other day and still think its one of the greatest movies of all times. Discuss.

I've never seen this one, not sure if I've even got a copy of it. I'll definitely have a look tonight and I promise if I have it I will watch it.

Love how the biker gang park their bikes in the shape of a W  ::)

Cool trailer! I don't think I've ever seen it before. Pretty sure it wasn't included on the Shriek Show DVD.

The main theme is amazing and I love the opening credits but the rest of the film left me a tad disappointed. I think the sequel, ESCAPE FROM THE BRONX (1983), is vastly superior. Now that is one film jampacked with cool action!

I actually prefer the sequel myself (Henry Silva hams it up superbly) but i still think the original is a great film.

Hell, i even like THE NEW BARBARIANS!

Yeah, I like the first one OK but I wouldn't put it among my favorites in the post-nuke genre. I prefer the sequel as well as EXTERMINATORS OF THE YEAR 3000, AFTER THE FALL OF NEW YORK, RIDERS OF THE ATLANTIS and HANDS OF STEEL. They are my top five!  ::)

I agree, the action is nearly non-stop in ESCAPE FROM THE BRONX.. it's really funny as well. Didn't deserve to be on Mystery Science Theatre 3000.

I also prefer the sequel. Henry Silva has never been better  :)

I really like both of these but the 2nd one is nowhere near as good.  Sure, the scenes with Silva are amazing (and Romano Puppo is Trash's father!), but overall it's kind of dull and slow compared to the first.

Shameless might be putting out Bronx Warriors, Bronx Warriors 2 and The New Barbarians as Argent own the rights to them ( they licenced them to Vipco a few years back ). Lets hope they do, these films need to be back in the uk market in decent versions.

The world needs a 16:9 enhanced version of ESCAPE FROM THE BRONX! The vipco disc was non-anamorphic.

Does anybody have any original poster art for the Bronx Warriors movies? We're looking for some really "killer" images for these.
