Brazilian label. According to bluray.com (sorry) their transfers are shite and borderline bootleg. Added to the face the music has never had a proper release and the tapes are lost this means the LP will most likely be snide mp3 rips.

Here is a quote from a Brazilain poster @ blu-ray
I need to tell this: this company "brookfilm" doesn't sell it's products in major stores of here simply because them are not a licensed company. So their products have very questionable quality, all blu ray of them are recorded in printable bd-r.

Thanks for the info. I was seriously thinking about buying this.

I must say that things here in Spain are no much better: a lot of "dubious" labels flying around and releasing a lot of great movies in BD-R. These Spanish "shit labels" buy foreign releases, add the Spanish audio track and, of course, a new menu. Very sad, mates, very sad, since there are few legal labels, apart from the majors (Warner, Sony, Universal...).

If anyone wants to know the names of these labels, I could make a list, so that you don't get fooled.

OT
I wonder how one of these companies manages to release Ryan's Daughter Blu-ray?!

I forgot to add that whenever there isn't any HD master available on Blu, they simply download a DVD-R o a 720p rip from the net. And that's what happened with "Ryan's daughter". We did a screen caps comparison between the BD-R (by Resen) and the 720p rip and there was no doubt about it.

On the other hand, they've even dared to release a bootleg Blu of "Halloween", a really big title. In this particular case it is a pressed edition. But that doesn't matter since it is a bootleg Blu (they don't have any rights to release it here in Spain).

So, watch what you buy from Spain.

I've noticed this with certain Spaghetti Blu's they've released in Spain too. Promising remastered wonders, and ending up with VHS rips.

Resen, Llamentol, Feel Films, Mon Inter Comerz, Vértice, Layons Multimedia, Sotelysa, Yowu Entertainment... They all release on BD-R. However, I've read that both Resen and Llamentol will release pressed discs. But the real problem is that they DON'T have any rights to anything they sell.

And what's also worth noting is that these bootlegs are in the large department stores & chains like El Corte Ingles. You'd have thought their purchasing department would be more stringent but clearly not.

That's a good point, too. ECI stopped selling Resen BD-Rs, so that's why Resen began using a lot of different names.

Wha about them labels that sell properly pressed DVD's of stuff that come out on DVD-R in the U.S. Warner Archive titles and the like, are they official? I'm thinking probably not but it's better to have them on properly pressed discs.
