Rosalba Neri plays Alexa a young woman who marries an older guy (Curt Jurgens) then proceeds to have an affair with young stud Pierre (Juan Luis Galiardo). Jurgens finds out about the affair and sets about getting his revenge by shooting himself dead whilst stood next to them as they are in bed making love. See, the thing is he's rigged the room with steel shutters and just before he killed himself he sealed them all in together.

Stuck in the room together the pair start to fall out and Alexa starts flashing back to the circumstances that got her in the mess in the first place.

Interesting little film, the copy I watched was in Italian language and only ran for 75 minutes. Imdb list an 87 minute run time but the version I saw didn't seem to be missing anything. Also looks like it was recorded off an Italian TV channel as there's a logo at the start (see grabs).

Does anyone have the French language, English subtitled version that the reviewer on imdb said they'd seen?






End titles are great as they feature a spinning spiral that's quite hypnotic...

It's from the 'Malizie' series that Shendene & Moizzi released on tape back in the late 90's,other titles included FEMINA RIDENS and Dallamano's LA MALIZIE DI VENERE.I'm almost sure Nocturno had something to do with these and most were uncut with some including h/c inserts,i'll have a look and see if i can find anything about this one in the magazines.

Cheers for clearing that up Stephen. Any further info you could find would be very interesting. This Italian version looks complete to me, Neri goes topless quite a few times and there doesn't seem to be any choppy editing.

I have a DVDR of the Malizie release of THE RED-HEADED CORPSE.  It may be uncut but its cropped which was strange because most of the other Nocturno tapes I have have widescreen transfers.

I have the Shendenne & Moizzi tape here - part of their 'Il Cinema Erotico Italiano Degli Anni Settanta' series. Picked it up from a newsagent in Milan years back. The details printed on the back of the cardboard carton case are as follows:

I have the Italian version as well and recently got the Spanish print.  It runs a bit longer, but all the nude scenes are MIA, either trimmed or replaced by covered shots.  Also weird / annoying how all the nude scenes in the Italian print are tinted one color or another, which kinda obscures the image.  Maybe there's another version ( French? ) without the tints?
Having watched this a few times it looks great and I would love to see a subtitled version.  Also features Emma Cohen in a subplot I canot currently fathom sans subs.

The nudity would be cut/reshot due to Spanish censorship during the Franco era.  The additional scenes may have been shot to pad the film to make up for the missing nudity or violence and may or may not show up in other versions.

Another movie that i adored,im searching the spanish version too,because i like the italian a lot.
A sexy Rosalba,a great Curt Jurgens,an interesting story.
I think this movie deserved a dvd version.
