I just watched my copy of the French version of "Blood And Roses", and my version cuts off at the sopt where the 2 little girls are running up to Leopoldo to tell him Carmilla is Missing. Is this common with all copies of the French version that are available, or is there a version with the full ending where we see Carmilla dying among the ruins and we see the wrapup on the plane with the doctor?

THank you,

Pluto

Yes, the film ends with the doctor's narration on the plane.

i wonder what's kkeping this film from getting a decent international release. vadim is very well-known, there a serveral versions of the film which would make for excellent dvd-extras, so what's the problem?

With respect to the French and Spanish versions of this movie does anyone have any idea as to where they can be acquired? I'm in America but multi-region discs are not a problem and I'll take them on DVD-R with no trouble at all.

ecc the deleted scene in your post above, is that from the French version?

More details here;

http://thelatarniaforums.yuku.com/topic/6672/WE-WANT-BLOOD-AND-ROSES-DAMN-IT?page=5#.Uv5uEKFFC00

It's a German dvd limited to 1200 copies, looks a little bit too hot on the colours, but MUCH better than the CG torrent, the print is a German print with the majority of the nightmare sequence [seems to be inserted from a slightly lesser quality print, about 6 seconds missing compared with the US nightmare sequence]. Language options are German and French [a little crackly] plus English or German optional subs.

I hope for a proper restoration one day but until that day comes and Paramount allow someone else to release this title I would snap this up before it disappears !

My dvd turned up today here are some screenshots, they are scaled down on my laptop [sorry only way I could do it] but you get a pretty good idea of what they would look like on a T.V.

The above brief shot may be a VHS insert.

Thanks for the (nice looking) screenshots! I will surely be adding this to my next D&T order, as I've been waiting for this to surface on DVD for quite some time.

Apparently it "borrows" from the German dvd,don't know if the Italian subs are optional on the French track? No English subs are mentioned on the back cover.
