Got it too mate, thanks again for this  ;)

DVD companies don't give the true fans what they want...fans got to do it themselves. Simple.

I do find this really weird. Restrictive licensing deals forcing companies to not include certain language options. This is usually English, so when English speaking labels apply for the rights they are met with exorbitant rights fees which stops them pursuing said rights to put out an English release. The fan community step in and make their own version from the non English version which negates the worth of an English friendly official release and because of this the rights holder will never sell the English rights.

If the greedy fuckers would just let the English language rights go for an acceptable price in the first place every one would be happy! Eh?

and in this case it was the Italian audio for the italian version that they forgot to add. which on a double dvd set featuring two versions of the same movie is retarded.
The fan community is not here to make a profit , and neither is it too blame for the demise of english audio options in cult cinema.

As much as i understand and have benefitted from fan dvds of unreleased films, where cg are in the wrong is by putting up licensed films, often from small studios that are struggling to make end meet as it is. I remember hearing that somebody uploaded the entire collection of cinema sewer issues. how disheartening is that for robin.b who puts his heart and soul into it,makes probably very little, only for people to basically steal it from him. As marc said the 12 month rule is a fucking joke

Camera Obscura, Cinekult, filmArt, RARO, Koch, Wild East... Solid companies that have released some great Eurocult films, often for the first time on DVD (and now even Blu Ray)

Why is it we don't hear them moaning about poor sales or torrent sites? Why is it most of those companies can afford to license the English audio track for their releases? Yet, all we hear on this forum is fury and anger at 'expensive' licensors and torrent sites stealing potential sales. Yet, these companies keep announcing new releases...

Truth is, it's been a great 2012 for Italian cinema, and 2013 is also looking promising with 'Top Sensation' still to be released.

The vast, vast, majority of real cult movie fans have stacks of legitimately bought DVD's. Give them something 'new' and they'll buy it, it doesn't matter if it's been bootlegged to oblivion or not (How many copies of 'Night of the Devils' have you been through?)

Repackage something that's already been released and most people probably won't buy it - or certainly not in large numbers.

There isn't much to be upset about, or debate either, to be honest.

CG is'nt the only place that creates fan dvd's of legitimate dvd releases. I dont hear you moaning about ; For Example dementedUk's many superb customs using in print dvd releases, or the many Spag western and eurocrime fandubs created at varies forums, but because mine get sent out via torrent instead of snail mail it becomes wrong. This way within a day just under 200 people can download either the small format avi or DVD5. And i dont have to spend a fortune on dvd-rs and mail costs.
Its merely a version  for those that were disappointed in the real dvd's lack of audio options.
I dont make fandubs to annoy dvd labels , but if they took note of what fans actually wanted in the first place and released proper editions , we'd be out of work.

Its strange that no-one had any issues with the Five Women for a killer fandub that i made and merlin Brilliantly subbed , even mentioning it in the series of video collector interviews on this site. That used a proper german dvd as source. But because those cunt fucks from cinema de bizzare decided to make a profit from fan created content it becomes ok.....
Seems your too choosy with what you see as piracy.

Most Italian film DVD companies are reasonable in price, but the one with CONTRONATURNA (someone please remind me who it is) wants outrageous money for the English language versions. They have some really rare ones (I think GANGSTER 70 was another film they had that no one has in English).

To be honest I am not really in a position to argue one way or the other as I am not really clued up enough with the whole fandvd community, downloading etc. I have made use of djangoli's subs a couple times with legit dvds i own, such as the noshame 'vampire and the ballerina'. I fully appreciate the work he put into those.
I am sure that there is an excellent amount of work done by you guys, i am positive of that, I just think most people's issue with the site is the whole piracy of legit dvds. Making fan dvds of non available films such as marc's giallo a venezia...great stuff. Allowing people to download marc's nucleus releases or robin bougies cinema sewer issues...not cool. I may be wrong buut i think this is how the other detractors feel also

I don't see the problem with fandubs and fansubs at all or ones that have been tinkered with here and there to put together the best version of a film.

If there is an original DVD of say an Italian film released without any English language or subtitles I welcome these projects with open arms and give full kudos for those who have taken the time to make them and look forward to what's coming.

I don't agree with something that's just a straight copy of something though, if that's the case I think the product should be purchased unless it is an out of print title and not available anymore.

No-one is debating the issue with regard to piracy.

There's a few other sites with the same content as CG that dont have a 12 month rule for new releases. And tbh this is yet another thread fubar'd by folks attacking a site whilst enjoying its fruits.
My initial post was too let fans of the above movie know there was a alternative available with different audio options, not to wind folks up.

I'm glad you did. I appreciate fan subs etc.

I haven't got a clue how to download something and put it on a disc though so have to wait until someone gives me a hard copy.
